This common perception of white sharks is changing though as we learn more about these increasingly threatened sharks, some courageous explorers have not only free-dived with these "killing-machines," they lived to talk about it.

Larger prey their grasp with their sharp dagger-like lower teeth and triangular serrated upper teeth and rip them apart into smaller pieces so they can be swallowed.

Not all species of shark give birth to live pups. These sharks are ovoniparous, they give birth to 2-14 fully formed pups which are up to 1.5m (5ft) long. The membrane may also cover the tips of the spikes (or rays) in a gentle way (1), or reveal a big part of them (2).

It is grey above and pale below, sometimes with a pale stripe on the flank. Does modern fisherman Aila follow this practice? "Of course!" he said of his habit of giving the first catch or the choice part of a large fish to the shark. "How else would I feel comfortable in the water and not have to look over my shoulder?"

From the evolution of sharks, are also various kinds of these animals that exist. On average, they grow to around 4.6m long, but some great whites have been measured at 6m - that's half the length of a bus! 3) Great white sharks are grey with a white underbelly, from where they get their name.

What makes bull sharks particularly dangerous to humans is the likelihood of crossing paths with one of these brutes is higher than with any other of the dangerous sharks. The great white belongs to the Family Lamnidae (the mackerel sharks), which includes mako and salmon sharks.

This is the cause of diminishing and endangered shark populations worldwide. We stock and ship fish that are the ideal size to ship. Similarly, the surface of the skin may be naked (as in moray eels ), or covered with scales of a variety of different types usually defined as placoid (typical of sharks and rays), cosmoid (fossil lungfish and coelacanths), ganoid (various fossil fish but also living gars and bichirs ), cycloid, and ctenoid (these last two are found on most bony fish ). [4] There are even fish that live mostly on land.
